SOCIEVEN (Sordociegos de Venezuela) fue la primera Institución sin fines de lucro de Venezuela que brinda ayuda, educación y formación integral personalizada a individuos con esta condición.
SOCIEVEN (Deafblind of Venezuela) is the first Venezuelan non-profit institution which provides help, education and personalized comprehensive training to individuals with this condition.
Como proyecto universitario (2009) tuve la tarea de elegir una empresa al azar para presentarles una propuesta de refrescamiento a su logotipo, así que elegí SOCIEVEN. Hice una investigación a fondo con el personal de dicha organización y mi propuesta de logotipo se basó en una de las técnicas que usa el personal para comunicarse y enseñar el lenguaje de señas a los niños y adultos que asisten a esta institución. Consiste en "escribir con el dedo" en la palma del alumno.
As an university project (2009), I had the task of choosing a company at random to present them a proposal to refresh their logo,
so I chose SOCIEVEN. I did an extensive research with the staff of that organization and my logo proposal was based on one of the techniques that the staff use to communicate and teach sign language to the kids and adults who attend to this institution. This technique consists on write with your finger on the student's palm.
Diseñé toda la papelería corporativa con una estética minimalista. Usando como recursos gráficos patrones de círculos que representan braille y usando también, en algunos casos, dos líneas continuas que dibujan una oreja y un ojo que asemejan un poco a las líneas que dibuja un electrocardiograma.*Foto blanco y negro usada sólo como ejemplo para esta propuesta
I designed all corporate stationery with a minimalist aesthetic. Using circle patterns that represent braille as graphic resources and also using, in some cases, two continuous lines that draws an ear and an eye someway resemble the lines drawn by an electrocardiogram.*Black and white photo used only as an example for this proposal
Disfruté mucho esta tarea y pese a que mi propuesta no fue aprobada por ellos para el refrescamiento de su imagen, pude elaborar algunas piezas publicitarias (afiche y flyers) con el antiguo logo para las actividades a realizarse en el día de la sordoceguera (27 de Junio)
I enjoyed this task and despite the fact that my proposal was not approved by them to refresh their image, I was able to make some advertising pieces (poster and flyers) with the old logo for the activities to be carried out on the day of deafblindness (June 27)
